德國成為世界盃史上第一支連續4屆踢進四強的球隊，Miroslav Klose也寫下了歷史，他也成為首位連續4次踢進準決賽的球員。

36歲的Klose還在對法國一戰先發上陣，個人累計世界盃22場出賽，史上只有前輩Lothar Matthäus的25場與義大利的Paolo Maldini 的23場比他多。

不過在連續晉級四強的戰役中，Klose都還未有進球記錄，他目前以累計15顆進球與前巴西球星Ronaldo並列史上第一，還有機會打破記錄。

晉級準決賽後，德國與Klose都有亟待突破的記錄，Klose有機會追平Maldini 的世界盃出場記錄，也有望挑戰獨居賽史進球王。

而德國過去3次晉級四強，最後都無法抱回冠軍，這次能否殺進決賽、抱回冠軍，也是觀戰焦點之一。

做為歐洲勁旅，包括東西德時期在內，世界盃18次參賽，已經有13次晉級到四強，這當中拿了3次冠軍，另有4次在決賽落敗。
