前大使：40年前美把柬埔寨交給劊子手

前美國駐柬埔寨大使迪恩接受美聯社專訪時說，40年前美國「放棄了柬埔寨，把它交給劊子手」。

1975年4月12日，美國撤離駐柬埔寨的外交人員，五天後，美國支持的柬埔寨龍諾政府向赤柬游擊隊投降，此後，赤柬強迫首都金邊兩百萬人搬到鄉下，近兩百萬柬埔寨人因饑荒、酷刑和處決而死。

迪恩說：「我們承擔起柬埔寨的責任，卻在該兌現承諾時一走了之，這是一個國家所能做的最惡劣的事。撤離時我哭了，因為我知道接下來會發生什麼事。」
