立法院長王金平今（14）日表示，如何檢討監察制度「監察院應該最清楚」，對於是否要修憲，他則認為，監院對監察制度改革要先提想法，監院存廢他不便置評。
監察院二度彈劾基隆市長張通榮未通過，王建煊上午找部分媒體茶敘，並指稱監察院若不能從制度上改革的話，「監院關掉比不關來得好」。
王建煊甚至表示，立法院有權力有機會，可以修憲，可以把監察院拿掉或縮小，呼籲「立院應主動提出修憲案，檢討監察制度的改革」。
對於監院存廢問題，王金平今日受訪時則說「我不便置評」。
對於王建煊呼籲立法院提案修憲，王金平則說，如何檢討監察制度，監察院應該最清楚，監察院要先提出想法，再送立法院討論。
