監察院長王建煊與19名監委互槓，人在泰國訪問的民進黨主席蘇貞昌今（17）日表示，監察院這幾年給國人的印象確實不好，院長也常常發表一些奇怪的談話，他建議馬總統在本屆監委屆期期滿後，不再提名下屆監委，如此可變相廢除監察院。
蘇貞昌上午赴曼谷挽蒲工業區，拜訪當地台商，對近期監察院引發風波，蘇貞昌坦言，透過修憲廢除監察院並不容易，他建議馬總統在監委任期屆滿時，可不再提名監察委員，另外，也可由立法院停編或少編預算，都是比較好的辦法。
蘇貞昌強調，在一般民主國家中，監察權的功能是放在國會，未來應思考如何減少監察院的職能、加強國會功能，不能頭痛只醫頭，如果沒有整個國家制度的設計，結果一樣會不完妥。
蘇貞昌認為，監察院這幾年給國人的印象確實不佳，除了這次風波，王建煊也常常講奇怪的話，增加國人的惡感，這也讓國人對監察院的功能存疑。
他認為，民眾目前已對監察院感到相當不滿，馬總統應該有所回應，畢竟「解鈴還需繫鈴人」。
