媒體報導，國防部為推動募兵制，計畫與中華職棒聯盟合作推出「英雄月」，現場進行募兵宣傳。對此，國防部表示絕對沒有和中職合作招募志願役士兵。
國防部發言人羅紹和澄清表示，軍方所屬的漢聲電台一直和中職合作，轉播球賽，原本漢聲打算在9月3日軍人節當天推出「英雄日」活動，邀請受國軍模範團體免費入場看球；在9月全月推出「英雄月」活動，國軍官兵可以獲得優惠價入場觀賞球賽。
羅紹和指出，因為漢聲與中職配合上有落差，因此「英雄日」與「英雄月」活動沒能談成。他強調，國防部絕對沒有和中職合作招募志願役士兵。
針對媒體報導，中華職棒聯盟擔心此時軍方形象欠佳，因此不願合作，職棒聯盟表示，從未與國防部正式洽談任何活動。
