【姚瑞宸／綜合報導】紅襪隊王牌左投雷斯特(Jon Lester)，在今天「基襪3連戰」的第2戰，先發8局只被擊出3支安打失1分，率領紅襪隊以5比1輕取洋基，取得系列賽的2連勝，在美聯東區封王的魔術數字降為「M6」。
雷斯特近況奇佳，在他最近的5場先發的23局內，總共只丟了5分。
這場比賽他被擊出的3支安打，其中有2支被葛蘭德森(Curtis Granderson)擊出。葛蘭德森在第4局敲出三壘安打，在坎農(Jose Cano)安打接應下，攻回洋基此役僅有的1分。
洋基先發投手「沙胖」沙巴西亞(CC Sabathia)，在這場比賽投6局挨9安狂失5分，吞下個人本季第13勝。
