聽到手機有新訊息的提示音，你是否會立刻低頭檢查？知名YouTube頻道「Whatever」日前就進行了一場實驗：一名男子手持iPhone，行經路人身邊時，故意大聲播放收到新訊息的提示音，果然不少路人立刻拿出手機確認，發現沒有收到新訊息時，臉上還會露出失望的表情。

影片中，正在獨自享受陽光、和朋友聊天、或是逗弄嬰兒車裡小寶寶的路人們，一聽到熟悉的訊息提示聲，忍不住中斷手邊事情當起低頭族。這些彷彿受到無形立量制約的手機族，也讓網友留言：「這個實驗讓人對我們的未來擔憂」，有人認為：「別讓手機成為你的主人，該看訊息的時候看，而不是讓手機告訴你現在要做什麼。」
