土總統強推鄂圖曼土耳其語

紐約時報報導，土耳其總統厄多岡8日無視民眾的反對，表示全國學校課程中引進鄂圖曼土耳其語的必修課程勢在必行。

鄂圖曼土耳其語是一種較古老的土國國語，以阿拉伯文字母書寫，許多詞語和片語都借自阿拉伯語或波斯語。土耳其國父凱末爾在1928年廢止鄂圖曼土耳其語，改採現行白話形式的土耳其語，以拉丁字母書寫。

厄多岡8日在安卡拉向宗教委員會說：「有些人不希望學校教這種語言。這很危險。無論他們喜不喜歡，這個國家都要學，且要教鄂圖曼土耳其語。」
