行政院會今天將通過住宅法修正案中的「愛心房東免稅額度條款」，最快明年起，房東租屋給中低收入戶，每月可享4,000元的免納所得稅額度。內政部長陳威仁今天在受訪時表示，這項政策是希望更多愛心房東把房子租給需要的人，希望將來政府的稅課收入增加，對愛心房東的免稅額再增加。

媒體追問，租金部分是否全額免稅？陳威仁說，站在住宅的角度「當然希望」，但也必須考慮政府整體財稅收入，後來與財政部討論折衷方案就是這個案子，原本修繕與租金補貼都存在。
