針對朝野的修憲議題，立法院長王金平上午主持朝野協商，他表示，朝野都有意願將啟動修憲委員會的提案往前提，希望盡早排入委員會進行審議。

九合一選舉後，朝野湧現修憲聲浪，針對是否啟動「修憲委員會」，王金平上午在立法院舉行朝野協商，研商如何處理立委要求成立「修憲委員會」、「憲政改革委員會」等案。他協商受訪表示，修憲提案原排在上午院會議程第29案，但朝野都希望提前。

立法院國民黨與民進黨團上午都舉行黨團大會，就是否啟動修憲工程展開討論，呈現不同意見。國民黨立委盧秀燕表示，她上午與國民黨主席參選人、新北市長朱立倫通過電話，將攜手共同強力推動修憲將投票年齡降為18歲，她說，修憲議題多且廣，為避免曠日廢時，必須排定優先順序。

但民進黨立委黃偉哲表示，修憲是朱立倫試圖轉移議題焦點的手法，民眾關心的是油、電、菜價是否調降，明天的生活是否過得下去的問題，此時啟動修憲議題，徒增政治紛擾，紛爭勢必紛至沓來。
