Samsung Display is expected to delay a second round of investment for expanding flexible display production at its A3 facilities due to reported restructuring in production and materials, according to Korea-based ET News.
The second round of investments was originally planned for April but has reportedly been on hold as Samsung makes alterations to processes and materials related to polyimide used to increase yields for flexible OLED displays.
The report also said Samsung Electronics has put in orders for eight million flexible panels per month for a reported curved Galaxy S7 and that investments would be used to provide ample supply.
The report also noted that Samsung Electronic's upcoming Galaxy Note 5, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2015, will have a flexible OLED display.
