新北首座家禽屠宰場試運轉，因應農曆七夕及中元節

新北市終於有屬於自己的家禽屠宰場，農業局長廖榮清表示，新北市原無大型合法家禽屠宰場，攤商們擔心無處可屠宰，如今該家禽屠宰場已在9日取得屠宰場登記證。屠宰場共設9條屠宰線，目前正進行3條線機台試宰運轉，每條線每小時屠宰量800隻雞，每日試宰量約1萬隻，將可於13日農曆七夕及21日中元節提供屠宰雞肉，以解決民眾採購需求。
副市長李四川指出，自行政院農委會今年5月17日起公告不得於合格屠宰場外宰殺活禽政策，及6月端午年節屠宰量需求較平日增加1倍以上，致鄰近台北市環南市場家禽屠宰線暴量供貨不及，為避免於農曆七月特別是七夕及中元節傳統祭祀節日禽肉大量需求發生供貨不足，由新北市政府輔導民間保證責任新北市家禽運銷合作社自行闢建自建的屠宰場，在中央農委會及新北市政府各局通力協助下，輔導業者順利興建完成。
廖榮清表示，目前該屠宰場已由農委會防檢局派驻獸醫師，協助業者執行屠宰衛生檢查，同時也感謝農委會防檢局大力支持及幫忙，使業者能順利提前試營運，方便消費者可以買到有合格屠宰標章的安全禽肉。
