號稱葡萄牙「鞋都」的葡國北部製鞋重鎮「聖若昂－達馬德拉」，為了讓年輕一代更容易打入中國大陸市場，最近規定8歲的小學三年級學童必修中文，一直學到高中畢業為止。中央政府正密切觀察成效，以決定是否推廣到全國。
