也有一段時間沒有消息的 Google Project Loon 計劃，終於有更新了。Google 表示現在技術已可在 5 分鐘內自動將氣球充氣，一日內可以將 20 個升空。另外，現在的最新球氣球滯空時間已可超過 100 日了，最高紀錄是 130 日之多，比 2013 年的初版（圖片在繼續閱讀）長了 10 倍左右。而且，Google 除了關注氣球在空中的持久力之外，也很關注每個氣球的維護（不好好維護又怎樣持久？），所以他們會要求地面的相關人員，在需要踏上尚未充氣的氣球表面時，穿上毛茸茸的襪子減輕踐踏造成的損耗。最後，如果大家好奇這些氣球在掉回地面之後，Google 會怎樣回收的話，那就點繼續閱讀看看 Google 早前上載的解說影片吧。
