花東鐵路電氣化今天通車，往花東地區鐵路運能將大幅增加，新自強號普悠瑪列車快速、舒適，最搶手。

台灣鐵路管理局表示，7月1日到15日是花東鐵路電氣化試營運期，每天增加台北往返台東普悠瑪直達及半直達列車共4列次；16日正式營運後，普悠瑪列車全數投入，台北往返台東平日每天增加到共12列次，假日再增6列次。

原本只在西部營運的PP自強號列車，16日起會加入東部幹線，每天2列次。

台鐵統計，花東鐵路電氣化正式營運後，台北往返花蓮自強號運能，依平日及假日，提升23％到25％，即使部分莒光號及柴油自強號列車退出，對號車運能也提高22％到24％。

至於台北往返台東自強號運能，平日增加18％，假日達40％，加上部分保留的莒光號和柴油自強號，運能也提高8％到13％。

普悠瑪設備舒適新穎、速度快，台北到台東直達車3.5小時，比柴油自強號直達車還快約1小時，仍是旅客優先搶訂車票。

台鐵統計，目前試營運期已開放訂位的台北往返台東的普悠瑪列車，訂位幾乎全滿，只有花蓮往返台東還有零星座位。(中央社)
