加大運能！台鐵首開12輛車廂區間車　部分班次調整時段

台鐵加大運能了！區間車由原本8輛車廂擴大編組為12輛車廂，增加通勤時段運能，可加大運能4％，於是從今(24)天起微幅調整部分班次時刻。

根據台鐵局表示，配合新購電聯車投入營運，從今天起微幅調整部分班次時刻時，將北部地區從基隆到新竹的6列次區間車由原8輛車廂擴大編組為12輛車廂行駛，以增加通勤時段運能。

台鐵局進一步表示，增加長編組區間車，主要是要提升通勤時段的運能，讓通勤旅客有更佳的運輸服務，估計北區區間車運能將增加4％。

台鐵局還說，這6列12車廂的長編組區間車，不停靠需求較少的三坑、浮洲、富岡及北新竹等4站。
