嘉市春祭國殤大典 氣氛肅穆莊嚴

嘉義市各界春祭國殤大典今天上午在射日塔忠烈祠登場，市長涂醒哲主祭，機關及學校團體代表、軍警及烈士遺眷等共百餘人與祭，緬懷追悼為國犧牲烈士及因公殉職員警，氣氛肅穆莊嚴，涂醒哲致贈家屬慰問金，撫慰遺屬辛勞。

典禮在國歌、上香、獻花、獻果，恭讀祭文儀式後，涂醒哲率與祭人員向先烈牌位行三鞠躬禮，表達對先烈崇高敬意，忠烈祠原奉祀18名為國捐軀將士及3名因公殉職員警，另駐地嘉義縣的國軍75軍16師工兵營奉命開鑿草嶺公路，其中74名在草嶺潭殉難，民國99年官兵隆重入祀。
