美軍首度對伊拉克北部伊斯蘭國極端份子發動首波空襲行動後數小時後，再度出動無人攻擊機，以地獄火飛彈襲擊叛軍陣地，美軍攻擊行動集中在美國設有領館的阿比爾附近。

五角大廈發言人柯比（John Kirby）表示，美軍再度出動攜帶地獄火飛彈的MQ-1掠奪者（Predator）無人機，攻擊伊斯蘭國重砲陣地，當對方回到陣地後再度遭攻擊，並成功被殲滅。

美軍於美東時間8日上午多波行動集中在伊拉克北部，庫德族自治區首都阿比爾（Arbil）附近，美國在當地設有編制百多人的領事館，距離伊斯蘭國極端份子占領地區只有30多公里距離，如遭攻擊後果不勘設想。

五角大廈指出，8日上午攻擊行動成功消滅伊斯蘭國戰士陣地，摧毀重砲裝備。除了軍事行動外，還同步對受困於山區的少數宗教族裔伊國難民，進行多次食物和食用水的空投任務。

五角大廈說明美軍連續行動表示，美軍在第2波行動後，還派出4架戰機，繼續在接近阿比爾地區，攻擊伊斯蘭國戰士的車隊，共摧毀7輛軍車，這波行動使用8枚雷射指引炸彈。

伊斯蘭國極端份子遭連番攻擊後，在網上要求美軍有種就別動用無人機，親自到地面上和他們一決勝負，意圖挑起聖戰行動。(中央社)
